AI Search Visibility Audit

Find out whether AI answer engines can read your site, whether your analytics can see what they send you, and what to fix first.

AI search runs on the same foundations as search: pages a crawler can read, content nobody else has, and a presence beyond your own domain. Much of what it sends you can show up as "direct" or branded search, not as AI referrals. The audit checks what the engines can read on your site, and what your analytics can see of the visits they send.

What we check

  1. Crawler access. Your live robots.txt, CDN and firewall bot rules for the Google, Bing, OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity crawlers. What your repo says and what a crawler receives are not always the same file.
  2. What crawlers see. Whether key pages, prices and facts are in the HTML on the first request, or sit behind JavaScript, tabs, PDFs or images.
  3. Measurement. Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools AI reports, an AI referrer channel in your analytics, and the size and causes of your "direct" bucket.
  4. Content. Which pages are commodity content an answer engine summarizes without sending a visit, and which first-hand assets you have or could publish: case studies, your own data, tools.
  5. Off-site presence. Where answer engines find sources for your category, and whether you show up there.
  6. Feeds and forms, where they apply. For ecommerce and booking-heavy businesses, we also check product feeds and booking and checkout forms.

What you get

A written set of findings, fixes ranked by effort and impact, and measurement set up so you can watch AI search from here on. We walk through it with your team and help with the fixes if you want us doing the work.

What we don't promise

Citations. No outside firm controls what an answer engine cites, and the source mix shifts from month to month. We fix what you control and set up the Search Console and Bing reports that show the rest.

The evidence behind it

We checked 13 common AI search tactics against platform documentation and published studies. The full write-up, with every source, is AI Search Is Still Search. Seeing It Is the Hard Part.
